Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson today announced her plans to depart the agency effective Friday, July 17.

“It has been an honor to serve the people of Texas in this role,” Secretary Nelson said. “My time as Secretary came at an important moment for Texas, and I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish as an agency in under four years.”

Five innocent people are dead in Virginia.

Among them a 13 year old girl. A 7 year old boy.

They were killed when a bus slammed into stopped traffic.

The driver was an immigrant from China who does not speak English.

Can't read road signs. Can't communicate with law enforcement.

New York State gave him a commercial license anyway.

Democrat-run states handing out CDLs to unqualified drivers need to be held accountable.

The federal government is now investigating New York's licensing records.

It's long overdue.

Praying for the victims and their families. 🙏🏻🇺🇸

For those who knew Lila Ward.
Her son, James McMillan, shared with us:

“I think you know that my mom has been involved with the Bandera county Republican Party and Bandera county republican women’s group for many years. She passed away peacefully in her sleep early this morning. I am not sure how to broadcast that information to the republicans in Bandera county but I am sure some will want to know. Her name was Lila ward, although she also used Lila Macmillan years ago. Any help disseminating would be appreciated. Arrangements are pending through Bandera funeral chapel.”

Rest in peace, Lila, and thanks for your service to our county and the Republican Party !
