We stand in solidarity with the Pennsylvania State Police during this incredibly difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Corporal O'Connor’s loved ones, his fellow troopers, and all who had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside him. His service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

🚔❄️ Winter Driving Reminder from Your Police Department ❄️🚔

We’re now five days past the storm. At this point, snow on your vehicle is no longer “leftover winter décor”, it’s a safety issue.

If your car still looks like it just emerged from a snow globe, it’s time for a cleanup.

Under Pennsylvania Vehicle Code §3721, a driver of a motor vehicle or motor carrier vehicle being operated on a highway of this Commonwealth shall make reasonable efforts to remove accumulated ice or snow from the motor vehicle or motor carrier vehicle, including the hood, trunk and roof of the motor vehicle or motor carrier vehicle, within 24 hours after the cessation of the falling snow or ice.

What seems harmless in your driveway can turn into a blinding cloud or flying sheet of ice for the driver behind you. That’s not funny, and it can result in citations, fines, or crashes.

🚨 Clear your roof
🚨 Clear your windows and mirrors
🚨 Clear headlights, taillights, and turn signals

We promise: spending a few extra minutes with a snow brush beats spending time with us on the side of the road.

Drive safe and help keep everyone safe out there.
