📢 Important Notice: Garbage Collection Delayed Due to Memorial Day Holiday

Please be advised that garbage collection services will be delayed by one day this week in observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25.

🗑 Adjusted Collection Schedule:
• Thursday’s route → Friday, May 29
• Friday’s route → Saturday, May 30

⚠️ Please note: There is a possibility some pickups may roll into Monday.

✅ Reminder: Please have your carts placed roadside by 6:00 a.m. on your adjusted pickup day.

This week, the City of Piperton proudly celebrated National Public Works Week by recognizing the hardworking members of our Public Works Department who help keep our city running every day.

We were grateful to honor our team with a luncheon yesterday and thank them for their dedication, service, and commitment to our community. Whether maintaining infrastructure, supporting city services, or responding in all kinds of weather, their work makes a difference every day.

🚨 Office Closure Notice – Piperton Satellite Location

Due to unexpected system issues, the Fayette County Clerk’s Satellite Office in Piperton CLOSED EARLY today (Thursday, April 30, 2026) at approximately 10:45 a.m. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

The office is expected to return to normal business hours next week.

In the meantime, the main Clerk’s Office in Somerville remains open and available to assist you. For questions or assistance, please call (901) 465-5213.

✅Vehicle tag renewals within 90 days of expiration are also available 24/7 at the self-service kiosk located at the Bank of Fayette County in Hickory Withe.

🚧NOTICE TO RESIDENTS: RUSSELL ROAD CLOSURE🚧

This notice is to inform residents that Russell Road will be CLOSED for the next several months starting APRIL 13, 2026 due to an inspection being conducted by the TDOT Regional Bridge Engineer.

As part of this process, engineers will perform a full evaluation of the bridge structure to determine the repairs needed to safely reopen the bridge. This assessment is essential to identify the extent of required work and to ensure long term safety for all users.

During this period, the road will REMAIN CLOSED TO ALL THROUGH TRAFFIC. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this important safety review is completed.

The Fayette County Clerk's Satellite Office in Piperton will be CLOSED today, Thursday, March 19th per the Fayette County Clerk. They will return with regular business hours next Thursday, March 26, 2026.
