🌪️🌪️ today is tornado drill day for Severe Weather Awareness week! It’s a great time to run a drill at your home, school, place of employment, etc. & make you have a solid emergency plan! Sirens will be tested at 1:00pm & 6:45pm in Pipestone County.

National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is a time to recognize the professionals often called the first of the first responders.

Every year in the United States, dispatchers and call takers manage more than 240 million 911 calls, according to the National Emergency Number Association (NENA).

In those moments, they guide people through emergencies, gather critical information, and help coordinate the response that follows.

It is work that requires focus, composure, and professionalism.

Much of it happens behind the scenes, but the impact is felt in every response that reaches the community.

This week is an opportunity to recognize the emergency communications professionals who carry that responsibility every day.

All highways in Pipestone County are closed. Please do not travel on them. Visibility is very minimal and many roadways are drifted and impassable. Please stay home and stay safe.

Update as of 1:30pm 3/3 we have 4qts of hot left.

Update as of 5pm on 3/2 we are out of mild and have 12qts of hot left yet.

Update as of 4:30pm on 3/2 we have 7qts of mild and 16 qts of hot left

Here it is, the long awaited post about leftover chili!🍲🌶️Here is what is left, please message us on this post to claim. All chili needs to be picked up by Friday or it will get sold to someone else.
9 Mild quarts and 18 hot quarts are left. It isn't much, so grab it while you can!

❄️ Morning snow showers = a PERFECT day for homemade hot or mild chili or chicken noodle soup served with a hot ham & cheese sandwich & dessert! 🌶️🚑 We have 39 roasters cooking! Drive-thru from 4-7pm & let us take care of the cooking tonight! 😏

Everyone is welcome & all proceeds will go to our 2026 project of helping the Pipestone community by supplying a variety of AEDs, First Aid kits, Stop the Bleed kits, & training to area organizations (more info to come on how to apply following the Chili Feed!). Come out & support a great cause! ❤️
