EMS Week, Saturday Edition: As we finish up EMS week for 2026, today is EMS Remembrance Day. Today we honor those that have perished in the line of duty, and we recognize the sacrifice they made not only for their community, but for their family. They leave us with the memories of their commitment. May we honor them always.

Take the time to know your local EMS heroes and honor the members of your community that have taken the time, training and time away from their own families to potentially save one of your own. We have an unwavering commitment to serving this community as well as our surrounding communities when they need extra help. Let them know how important they are to you and the community.

EMS Week, Thursday Edition is Save a Life Day! The community as a whole is a bystander to all things that happen. Have you ever asked yourself if something were to happen, could you step in and lend a hand? Starting CPR or stopping a bleed are crucial things bystanders can do when the time is right and we can teach you to do just that! We utilize the American Heart Association for our CPR teaching and have 8 of our own instructors on hand to help you learn! We are also a Stop the Bleed training center through the American College of Surgeons and the US Dept of Defense! Contact us to go through your training options!

EMS Week, Wednesday Edition is EMS for Children Day. Caring for children requires specialized care, equipment and training. They aren't just little adults. Did you know we also have a certified car seat technician on our staff? You bet we do! We also host specific pediatric educational events for our staff to keep up to date on all things little! We utilize resources like EMSC and safekids.org for training/education material.

EMS Week, Tuesday edition consists of EMS Safety Day. We train monthly on various scenarios. We train on the various outcomes, the skills needed during those situations as well as safety measures that we need to have in place to keep not only ourselves safe, but you the community. In addition to our hours upon hours of training, we must always have situational awareness, driving and roadway safety, maintain our vehicles and devices, have proper lifting techniques and have violence awareness for the situations that call for it. Whew! It's a lot, but its a job we all love! Here are a few training pictures from over the years.

Continuing on our EMS week trend, Monday is considered Education day. Did you know we do all kinds of public education and outreach? We teach CPR/AED/First Aid classes for daycare providers, healthcare providers, and lay persons who just want to know what to do in an emergency. We also teach ACLS classes for healthcare personnel. For community outreach we meet with our local preschools, elementary/middle/high school, attend job fairs, stage at local events like our high school FB games, county fair, relay for life and many others! We also support our local FD by going to all fire calls in case any of them would need our services.
