Learning by Doing!

Students in Ms. Wertish’s Landscape Design class recently put their skills to work on a project that will leave a lasting impact on our school campus. Working alongside Ms. Wertish and with assistance from Mr. Boomgaarden, students designed and installed the brick paver base surrounding a memorial bench near the athletic fields.

The project provided hands-on experience in site preparation, layout, leveling, and paver installation while helping enhance the beauty and functionality of the area.

The bench itself was donated by neighbors of Richard “Chuck” Schroyer, a longtime PAS teacher and coach who passed away in 2024.

Great work by our students and staff on a project that combined valuable career skills with community pride!
