THE LIBRARY LOUNGE SERIES continues this month with a visit from the Crooked Handle Brewery on September 22nd, starting at 7pm, at the Piqua Public Library. Admission is FREE. Get your free tickets at the Piqua Public Library.

Tickets are available for Friends members starting September 5th, and for the general public starting September 8th.

As part of our Kindergarten Readiness Program, the Friends of the Piqua Public Library gave away copies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The Wonky Donkey, and Sheep in a Jeep during our Pop-Up Story Stops. Thank you Melissa, and the Piqua Public Library, for helping to make our Pop-Up Story Stops a success!

Kids Discovery Day – 2023, will be held Saturday, July 15th at the Piqua Public Library, sponsored by the Friends of the Piqua Library and Program Partner, RE/MAX Finest The Kathy Henne Team. This show will feature Chris Rowlands, a well known performer who presents interactive entertainment through song, dance and puppets. His program is titled “Kindness in the Forest and Kindness to our Planet”. This is in conjunction with the Summer Reading Program offered by the Piqua Library entitled “All Together Now” that emphasizes kindness and unity. The show starts at 10:30am in the main lobby of the Library. Each child will be given a Goody Bag full of surprises to take home and enjoy. The Friends of the Piqua Library sponsored the Dianne Coble Ensemble on Friday, June 23, 2023, in the Fort Piqua Plaza Ballroom.

The crowd enjoyed the enthusiastic DC Ensemble and had a toe tapping great time!
