Last evening, all 6 of the Piscataway Township fire companies gathered together for our annual memorial service to honor all past members of our departments. This year our company hosted the services. Unfortunately due to the weather, we relocated the service to the Piscataway High School.

Thank you to Firefighter Yon for playing the bagpipes and retired Bayonne Special Operations Battalion Chief Robert Seeburger for being our guest speaker for the event.

Due to the continued inclement weather projections, our annual memorial services have been moved to the Piscataway High School Patton Gym. They will begin at 6:30 pm as scheduled.

This week, we would like to recognize the dispatchers of the Piscataway Police Department during National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

Dispatchers play a key role in the emergency response system, answering calls for service, gathering information, and coordinating the appropriate resources. Their work helps ensure that responders have the information they need to operate effectively on scene.

We appreciate the coordination and communication provided to our members on a daily basis and appreciate the job we accomplish working together.

This morning, members of our company proudly attended the Piscataway Little League Opening Day Ceremony, leading the parade of players onto the field.

As a volunteer fire company, we are always honored to support and engage with the community we serve.

This afternoon at 16:14, a township general alarm was dispatched for a residential structure fire on Division Avenue. Chief 60, Deputy 60, Battalion 60, Truck 66, Engine 62, and Engine 63 responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, crews encountered heavy fire conditions. Firefighters from New Market assisted with fire suppression, conducted primary searches, and performed extensive overhaul operations.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Piscataway Fire Prevention Bureau.
