Saturday morning approx. 36 students from Ohio and Indiana showed up in the rain for the free CWFA to maximize your extrication class. This course was from heavy duty extrication to a refresher on basic extrication. We want to thank CWFA Ohio for reaching out and wanting to put on a training. We would like to thank Citizens First Fire Training for instructing and bringing all the tools for this class for the students to learn and use. Also would like to thank all the tow company’s that showed up to help and or donated cars. Dillman's Auto & Towing, Candido's Towing & Repair, One shot Recycling, and Wrens towing.

Congratulations Captain Kevin Subler! After 26 years of service, Kevin is working his final shift today! Throughout his career, he answered the call without hesitation, served his community with courage and compassion, and earned the respect of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. He set the standard through his professionalism and unwavering commitment to those he served and those he led. He was not only a trusted firefighter and officer, but also a mentor, teacher, and friend who helped shape the careers and lives of countless others.

Thank you CPT Subler for your sacrifices. We wish you the very best in your retirement and future endeavors.

We have had so many ask about us having another BBQ after the last one, we have decided to do it for YOU. October 31st 11-2, dine in or drive thru. We will once again have drinks and desserts availabe for purchase. You must purchase a ticket. Tickets will be on sale starting this Friday from any FD member. We will be doing a 50/50 that same day to help our department purchase Dress Uniforms. Spend a day in Pitsburg, Get your ticket for dinner, come back that late afternoon for Trick or Treat and get your hot dogs from the Lions Club. Thank You all once again for your support. We have added our Venmo account on this post, if you order on it Please make sure you put your name, phone number and what type of meat. Your ticket stubs will be ready that day for you to pick up to get your dinners.

There will be a CPR First Aid & Stop the bleeding class coming up on August 15th here at the station. This class is being put on by a couple local paramedics in the area. More info coming soon, we have had a lot of community people ask about another chicken/pork chop BBQ. Well October 31st your Pitsburg FD will be holding another one. We will announce when tickets go on sale. We had quite a few people come in without tickets, so please make sure you get yours. October 31 you can have one of these awesome dinners for lunch, and then take the kids through town later in the afternoon for trick or treat and get a free hot dog from the Pitsburg Lions club.

Tonight MedFlight flew in this evening, to finish off our LZ lecture! We thank MedFlight for flying in and educating our guys on the aircraft. Also for allowing our family and friends to see the aircraft.

This evening don’t be alarmed when a Green and White medical helicopter lands at the ball diamonds right behind the fire dept. We are holding a training with medflight for a LZ lecture! If you are in the area Please don’t approach the helicopter as they land or take off.
