Colonel Trever J. Nehls (Ret.) enlisted in the United States Army in 1988 as an Infantryman, completing basic training at Fort Benning. Three years later he earned his commission as a second lieutenant. Over more than 33 years of service in the U.S. Army Reserve, he commanded Soldiers at the company, battalion, and brigade levels and led troops in Iraq and Afghanistan in defense of our nation’s freedoms, with an additional deployment to Kuwait. His service has been recognized with numerous awards and decorations, including three Bronze Stars and the Combat Action Badge, reflecting a career marked by courage, duty, and unwavering commitment to country.
Trever has led in both public service and the private sector. As the elected Constable for Fort Bend County Precinct 4 from 2013 to 2020, he managed a professional law enforcement agency responsible for enforcing state criminal laws and traffic codes with consistency, integrity, and accountability.
His conservative values are grounded in faith, personal responsibility, and the belief that parents, not government, should make the key decisions for their children.
Trever supports limited government, fiscal responsibility, secure borders, and the protection of constitutional freedoms, including religious liberty and the right to keep and bear arms.
