Esto es para informar al público de que se hará una audiencia pública sobre la solicitud de Compra de capital de servicio para el año fiscal 2028 para el Programa de transporte comunitario que se presentará al Departamento de Transporte de Carolina del Norte a más tardar el 2 de octubre de 2026. La audiencia pública se hará el 21 de septiembre de 2026 a las 6 p. m. ante la Junta de Comisionados del condado de Chatham.

Las personas interesadas en asistir a la audiencia pública y que necesiten ayudas y servicios auxiliares según la Ley de Americanos con Discapacidades (Americans with Disabilities Act, ADA) o un traductor deben comunicarse con Jimmy Lewis a más tardar el 18 de septiembre de 2026, llamando al número de teléfono 919-545-8411 o enviando un correo electrónico a [email protected].

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

Section 5311 (ADTAP), 5310, 5339, 5307 and applicable State funding, or combination thereof.

This is to inform the public that a public hearing will be held on the proposed FY 2028 Capital Purchase of Service Community Transportation Program Application to be submitted to the North Carolina Department of Transportation no later than October 2, 2026 The public hearing will be held on September 21, 2026 at 6 p.m. before the Chatham County Board of Commissioners.

Those interested in attending the public hearing and needing either auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) or a language translator should contact Jimmy Lewis on or before September 18, 2026 at telephone number 919-545-8411 or via email at [email protected].

The Community Transportation Program provides assistance to coordinate existing transportation programs operating in Chatham County as well as provides transportation options and services for the communities within this service area. These services are currently provided using Chatham Transit Network.
The total estimated amount requested for the period July 1, 2027 through June 30, 2028.
NOTE: Local share amount is subject to State funding availability.

Well, we hope not - at least not in "that" way.

But in all seriousness, we do want to hear your feedback! Come meet with center manager Kathryn Walters and staff and let us know what we are doing well and what we can do better on September 14 beginning at 10:45 a.m.

This is a great opportunity to grab a coffee and let us know how we can make our Siler City center the best it can be for the older adults that we serve.
