Yes, we're saying it: marketing holidays are overdone. 🤭👇

Ranging from the random to the downright silly, these fleeting initiatives often lack the momentum and awareness needed to create true impact.

There are some rare exceptions, though, and this week marks two very important celebrations for our industry: Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) and National Travel & Tourism Week (NTTW). Both are salient reminders of the importance of both business and leisure travel, and how tourism and hospitality support our local community and catalyze visitor-related economic growth.

Today is Global Meetings Industry Day, and although Meetings Matter year-round, it's important to recognize the critical role business events play in fostering innovation, collaboration, and professional development. With excellent proximity to major airports and industry hubs, including North Carolina's Research Triangle Area, Chatham County is the perfect destination for seamless events that make a lasting impact.

From peaceful rural retreats to unique team-building activities and everything in between, our latest blog post is sure to inspire your next business function. Discover some of our favorite recommendations: https://bit.ly/MeetMeInChatham

There are just a couple of weeks left for Spring Open Barn tours at The Inn at Celebrity Dairy.

This Saturday (April 11), in addition to the regular festivities, there will be milking and hoof-trimming demonstrations, as well as staff Q&A sessions, starting at 2pm. The following Saturday (April 18) will mark their biggest open barn YET, featuring baby goats, crafts, food trucks, and some great craft beer from local bmc brewing. Plus, you can catch them on this year's Piedmont Farm Tour, hosted Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26 by Carolina Farm Stewardship Association and Weaver Street Market.

Extend your visit with an overnight stay in the charming historic farmhouse, featuring thoughtful amenities and a delicious seasonal breakfast. Spring at the barn is particularly special; kidding season offers guests a unique opportunity to bottle-feed baby goats. Find time to refresh in rural peace, with life's simple pleasures: taking an early morning stroll of the grounds, reading a good book by the stone fireplace, or simply sipping a cup of coffee on the front porch. Edible souvenirs take the form of indulgent gelato and award-winning Chèvre, best savored slowly and shared with friends.

Open Barns are 12pm-5pm and $10 per person, with free admission for kids ages 2 and under. Discover more about the Inn and reserve your room: https://bit.ly/CelebDairy
