Friends and coworkers are doing a raffle for Wayne Stone to help with medical expenses.

Wayne has been with 911 for almost 29 years and is now serving as 911 director and county flood coordinator.

Chances are being sold on a Henry 22 lever action which was donated by a very generous person. Chances are $20 each and can be purchased at any of the following: Bruce Police Department , Calhoun 911 office, Vardaman Police Department or you contact someone with Sheriffs Office. 100% of all money raised willl be given to Wayne.

You may also use cash app @ $WayneStoneFundRaiser and contact Dean Poynor to fill out your copy of the chance. Date of drawing will be announced at a later date.

As we are all aware by now, a significant winter storm is coming. If it plays out like they are predicting we will get a “significant” amount of ice and very little snow! We SHOULD expect and be prepared for no electricity based on the amount of ice that is being predicted.

Travel will be nearly impossible for several days. Soooooo. Based on the OFFICIAL PREDICTIONS, I’m asking, I’m imploring you all to stay off the roads at all costs. Remember this please, if you have an emergency, first responders have to try to travel the same roads that you would to get to you!! Ambulance times will be delayed. Fire response will be delayed. Law enforcement times will be delayed. Dispatchers will be bombarded with calls. Power associations will be swamped with calls. Be patient with them all. Pray for their safety and protection.

Prepare for at least 3-6 days of this IF the predictions and weather models are correct. We are Calhoun Strong and we will get through this together. Check on your neighbors, friends and family.

We have had several reports that the CCSO app isn’t working. The app is fully functional at this time. If you are having issues with it, delete it the reinstall.
