On Friday, we celebrated the opening of the George Pauly Nature Trail at Northeast District Park with a special ribbon cutting ceremony honoring the life and legacy of longtime conservation advocate George Pauly. 💚

The new 0.6-mile trail winds through forest and wildflower meadow and was made possible through a donation from the Haw River Assembly in recognition of George’s dedication to protecting Chatham County’s natural environment.

George’s passion for conservation, sustainability, and native plants continues to inspire our community for generations to come. 🌼🌳
