When Councilwoman Sasha Renee Perez first took office, she brought an immediate change to Alhambra City Council. She won against an entrenched Republican in 2020 and in a single term, brought Alhambra to district-based elections, temporary housing protections during the pandemic, helped to introduce Sustain Alhambra, and the Alhambra Tree Ordinance.

Councilwoman Renée Pérez is an example of what progressive leadership can look like at the local level and that’s why we’re proud to join Working Families Party and California Environmental voters in endorsing her for California State Senate District 25.
