🚀 Registration is NOW OPEN for the 2026 District 5 Youth Summit! Students in grades 6–12 are invited to join us for an exciting day of inspiration, workshops, college and career exploration, technology, activities, raffles, and more!

🚁 Taking Flight with Contra Costa Fire’s Copter 1 – I had an incredible opportunity to see our county from above while learning more about this important aerial firefighting resource and the work being done to protect our communities.

💙 National Night Out Across District 5 – My team joined residents, first responders, and community partners for fantastic National Night Out celebrations in Martinez, Pittsburg, and Hercules!

Stuff the Bus School Supplies Giveaway this Saturday!

Fourteen years ago, a sixth-grader named Claryssa Wilson started a small back-to-school drive with her mom, Velma Wilson, which grew into the 4 Ever Me Foundation’s Stuff the Bus School Supply giveaway.

Now, at 25, Claryssa is serving more youth each year with backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, and essential community resources.

I have been so proud to watch Claryssa over the years. From a kid with a big heart to a young woman leading a movement—she and her mom, Velma, are proof that small acts of kindness can grow into something extraordinary.

The Stuff the Bus School Supplies Giveaway is happening this Saturday!

📅 August 1, 2026 | 10am–2pm
📍 Contra Costa County Event Park, Antioch, CA

Free school supplies, backpacks, hair-care, and more! Plus, enjoy food trucks, community resources, entertainment, and games.

They're asking for help to keep it going. Donations, school supplies, and volunteers are needed—especially licensed barbers and stylists who can give free haircuts.
