Pittsburg Fire-Rescue

Pittsburg Fire-Rescue Combination career/volunteer fire department serving Pittsburg and Camp County Texas. The department is what is recognized as a Combination Department.

Pittsburg Fire Rescue has a proud tradition, dating back to July 5, 1905 in providing fire protection and public service to the citizens of the City of Pittsburg and Camp County Texas. This is a department made up of full-time personnel compensated by the City and County tax appropriations, as well as a large number of citizens from the community who dedicated their time to training and serving th

e community side by side with paid personnel. The department has paid personnel consisting of a Fire Marshal, who also serves as the city supervisor for the department, as well as three full-time paid firefighters. The remainder of the officers and firefighters are volunteers from the community. Pittsburg Fire Rescue is always open to accepting new volunteer staff who are skilled, or are willing to become skilled in firefighting and station operation/duties. Applications are available at the station, and are accepted year round. Pittsburg Fire Rescue is proud of our traditions, our fire house and our apparatus. If you are interested in a tour, please call the station and schedule a time to come meet the team and see the Fire Department. Station Phone: 903-856-6392

Shout out to Andrew and his crew at I-30 PowerSports! We recently had some work done at their shop on our UTV. During the work, we mentioned to them about getting a box to put under the seat for extra storage and Andrew said he would see what he could find. Today he showed up at the station with a box as well as some shackles and a recovery rope. We appreciate the donation as well as the work that was done!

CAMP COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICE'S PHONE LINES AND 911 LINES ARE DOWN!
In case of an emergency only, call 903-855-1161.

This is a wide-spread issue, not limited to Camp County. Technicians are working to resolve the situation.

We are asking that everyone please refrain from outdoor burning today. The wind and humidity along with dormant fuel (grass and brush) still present, can cause issues containing outdoor fires. If you do burn, please make sure to have the means to contain it and if it does get out of hand, please call 911 as soon as possible. The quicker we get there, the quicker we can get it under control.

Thanks!

Thanks to Longview Diesel and Performance for getting our Brush 2 reconditioned. We look forward to getting it back in service and ready to serve for several more years!

Getting our first responders back on the road 🚨🚨

A similarly equipped brush truck would cost at least 200k dollars for a new one.

We mechanically recondition these trucks to get these Fire Departments many more years of use for a fraction of the cost
