FYI…..Pennsylvania residents will soon be able to access behavioral healthcare even if they’re out of state or move away, thanks to a bill that passed 188-14 in the state House in late June.

When signed by Gov. Josh Shapiro into law, the commonwealth will become the 39th state to join a country-wide collaboration to offer such care across state lines.

“Anything that expands access to behavioral health counseling I think is so critically important,” said Tracy Pennycuick, R-Berks, and a bill co-sponsor.

Every Pennsylvanian deserves the freedom to decide how they build their family.

I proudly voted for House Bill 836, the PARENT Act, legislation that protects access to assisted reproductive technologies like IVF and IUI for families across our Commonwealth.

For so many people, these medical breakthroughs have been answered prayers—making parenthood possible when it otherwise may not have been.

We all have the right to decide if, when, and how we have our children - that is . That includes the right to access the healthcare and reproductive technologies that help families grow.

As a mother, I know the joy and blessing that comes with building a family. That’s why I was proud to stand with families across Pennsylvania and the maker of the bill - - and vote YES on the PARENT Act.
