🥖 HUNGER ACTION MONTH 🥖
September 2026 is officially Hunger Action Month in the Borough of Etna. Today, September 1, 2026, we hosted a small gathering and ceremony at Bread of Life Food Pantry Etna, located at the lower level of Calvert Memorial, to rededicate ourselves to fighting hunger and food insecurity. BOL President Wally Moser spoke, we heard from Alex Rose of Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and I read a proclamation. I am so grateful to all the BOL volunteers and coordinator, Alexis, who do this work day in and day out.
All month long, you can be a part of this campaign by donating nonperishable items and/or monetarily at The Balay Collective, CoStar Brewing, Global Access Control Systems, Emmanuel Lutheran Church, and at the Borough of Etna office - or directly to Bread of Life. Thank you to President Gabriel, Councilman Trader, Manager Ramage, Asst. Manager Iannuzzi for joining alongside Nichole, Dom, Joe, Amber, Megan, and Pastor Lynn, all who are helping this campaign. Each location, you will find a 50 gal. box as well as smaller donation box, so please contribute and be a part of Hunger Action Month in Etna, PA.
