Keeping up with your medication is one of the best ways to stay healthy, especially if you’re living with HIV or taking PrEP for HIV prevention. When you get your prescriptions filled at Allies Pharmacy, you can trust that you’re in good hands.

The Allies Pharmacy staff are specially trained in the medications many Allies patients need, including those for PrEP, HIV, and hepatitis C. Our pharmacist can answer any questions you may have about the medication or side effects.

When you’re visiting Allies for a clinic appointment or a case management visit, you can get your prescriptions filled at the same time. Allies Pharmacy also offers medication delivery to the location of your choice.

Not sure if PrEP is right for you? The staff at Allies is here to help!

Getting on PrEP is one of the most reliable ways to prevent HIV transmission and is the best way to protect yourself. PrEP reduces your risk of contracting HIV from s*x by almost 99% when taken consistently, and there are more options than ever to keep yourself safe and healthy!

Allies for Health + Wellbeing offers PrEP as a once-daily pill, injectables every other month or every six months. You will have your prescription for PrEP at the end of your first PrEP visit, which you can get filled just across the hall at Allies Pharmacy. Our knowledgeable staff will help determine what kind of PrEP is right for you, and our pharmacist can answer any questions you may have about the medication or side effects.

9:30 to 11 a.m. and noon to 4 p.m., our friendly health advocates will get you tested for HIV, hepatitis C, gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis, with results in 20 minutes for HIV, hep C and syphilis.

Did we mention that it’s FREE?

Many STIs have no symptoms but can still cause serious health problems. Getting tested regularly is the best way to keep yourself healthy.

Did you know that you can have an STI and not feel sick at all? Many STIs, including HIV, hep C, gonorrhea and chlamydia, have very mild symptoms or no symptoms at all. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t cause serious damage to your health if not treated.

Make regular STI testing part of your routine! Allies makes it easy with FREE testing. From 5 to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays, stop by Unity Recovery on the South Side and get tested by one of Allies’ friendly health advocates. Our team will get you tested and on your way quickly and easily, with results for HIV, hepatitis C and syphilis in less than 20 minutes.

EmpowHer is a support group for women living with HIV that meets on the first Wednesday of every month at Allies for Health + Wellbeing. Presented by Allies, AIDS Free Pittsburgh and Love in Action Through Faith Initiative, EmpowHer is facilitated by Carolyn Fletcher, LAPC, Allies therapist, and Wren Bowerman, Allies case manager.

Share your experiences and learn about resources to manage your care in a safe, welcoming environment.

Each Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., Allies community health advocates are available at Bethany Baptist Church in Homewood, where you can get tested for FREE. Testing is easy, and you can get results for HIV, hep C and syphilis in less than 20 minutes. Plus, health advocates are always willing to answer any questions you might have about your s*xual health.
