Pre-registration for the 62nd annual ACBA Bench-Bar Conference ends today. After today, the only way to attend will be as a walk-in at the $735 rate.

The conference will be held June 18-20 at Seven Springs Mountain Resort, and in addition to three-days of three days of networking, fine dining, social activities, sporting events and CLE courses, Bench-Bar also will serve also serves as a farewell celebration for ACBA Executive Director David Blaner, who retires on June 30.

Hotel rooms for Thursday, June 18 are sold out. Seven Springs has made offsite condos available at a discounted rate for Thursday night, and hotel rooms remain available for Wednesday, June 17 and Friday, June 19. That means guests who have not yet booked a room can stay in a condo for the whole conference, or check out of the condo Friday morning and check into a hotel room for Friday event. Last night, our Workers’ Compensation Section held its annual meeting at Olive or Twist. Prior to the meeting, the Section held a CLE on “2026 Medicare Updates in Workers’ Compensation Cases,” where Michael D. Bergonzi and Nathan J. Gruz of Dickie McCamey & Chilcote discussed recent updates to the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and their application to workers’ compensation cases.

Following the program, the Section elected its council and officers for the 2026-27 bar year. Additionally, Incoming Workers’ Compensation Section Chair Jennie Sanchez presented outgoing Chair Kathryn Morrow Miller with a plaque recognizing her contributions to the Section over the past year.
