Sometimes, being a fire company is about so much more than answering the call.

Sometimes it’s about making a 101-year-old woman’s birthday wish come true.

Windy had never ridden on a fire truck.
So we thought...why not make that happen?

The smiles, the excitement, and the joy of watching Windy experience something new at 101 years old is a memory we won’t soon forget.

We’re grateful to be part of a community where neighbors look out for neighbors...and where a little bit of firehouse magic can make someone’s day unforgettable.

Happy 101st Birthday, Windy! 🎉🎉🎉
We were honored to take you for a ride. 🚒

Theresa “Windy” Farina was on a roll as she celebrated turning 101 in Blawnox. Farina, believed to be the borough’s oldest resident, was the guest of honor during a surprise fire truck birthday ride Sept. 27, compliments of volunteers from the Blawnox Volunteer Fire Company. It was...

🚒🎉 HELP US CELEBRATE 101 YEARS! 🎉🚒

Tomorrow, we're doing something a little special for one of our own...
Our neighbor is turning 101 years old in just a few days! ❤️

She's lived in her home for more than 90 years and has been a part of the fabric of our town for generations. She was a familiar face at the steel mill back in the day...a true piece of our community's history.

And here's the fun part...
She's NEVER ridden in a fire truck.
So we're going to change that. 🚒❤️

Tomorrow, we'll be surprising her at her home and taking her for a ride through town in the fire truck around 5:30PM!

And we'd LOVE for our community to help us make it extra special!!!

If you see the fire truck coming through town tomorrow, come outside and help us wish this incredible woman a VERY HAPPY 101st BIRTHDAY! 🎉

Wave.
Smile.
Bring the kids.
Honk your horn.
Make some noise! 👋🏼🎈
Let's show her just how much a town can love one of its own.

101 years deserves a celebration...and we think she deserves to see her town celebrating right along with her. 💜🚒🎂
