WARNING: Our Sharpsburg Center recently went full hippie!

The colors, man... the colors... they're so groovy!

Our excellent seniors didn’t just make tie-dyed t-shirts… they filled the place with so much Peace and Love that Ringo Starr would have been proud. ✌️💐🕊️

Our Center Coordinator, Tim Stewart, provided expert guidance and our Director of HR, B Mac, had a FAR OUT time joining in.

The shirts were trippy and vibrant and more psychedelic than a night at Woodstock.

Tag a senior who’d rock out making one of these down the line!

Huge thanks to Sharpsburg Police Chief Tom Stelitano and Social Worker Mary Bauer, who came in this week to meet with the seniors to present on emergency preparedness! They demonstrated CPR, the heimlich maneuver, and how to use narcan, then gave some important tips on fire safety and what to expect when you call 9-11. It was very informative, and the seniors left feeling ready for anything! Thanks again you two!! 🇺🇲

Today at the Sharpsburg Senior Center, we had a visit from our new four-legged friend! We had a ball!

Gus is a certified therapy dog, and he and his human Maura spent the morning with the seniors during bingo! Gus is fluffy, friendly, and an absolutely paw-fect addition to a Tuesday morning.

Thank you to our friends and partners at the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania for highlighting our agency today! It is much appreciated it...

We're passionate about keeping seniors and other vulnerable populations independent and living at home in their communities. Achieving that goal is a labor of love but all is made easier via our partnerships with amazing people like those at the UWSW!

🏖️🌭Picnic Alert!!🌭🏖️

Join NAMS Sharpsburg Senior Center for a picnic in the park on Monday, June 15th! We'll be playing lawn games, serving food, and having ourselves a beautiful day under the sun! Seniors are VIP's at this party!

10am-2pm, Everyone Welcome, Grandparents and Grandkids alike!

🪑🪑Bring Your Own Lawn Chair!! Some seating will be provided, but to ensure we have enough, those who are able to bring seating of their own are encouraged to do so.

🇺🇸 On Memorial Day, the Northern Area Multi-Service Center honored the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms and way of life.

In honor of that recognition some of our staff participated in the Sharpsburg/Etna Memorial Day Parade!

Thank you to Tim Stewart (Senior Center Coordinator), Joe Poli (HDM Driver), Jason Bowser (Access Transportation Driver) and Grace Ferraro (Senior Center member) for representing HDM, the Senior Centers and Access Transportation in the parade.

They distributed candy along the way and were greeted with cheers from those who recognized the vehicles that so often provide support to these communities on a daily basis!

On behalf of our participating staff and the the rest of our organization, we remember those who we lost and give thanks for their courage and service.
