In Loving Memory of Nancy D. Washington 🌹🌹🌹

The Pittsburgh Branch NAACP mourns the passing of Nancy D. Washington, a cherished member of our family and the lifetime member of the Pittsburgh Branch NAACP.

Nancy was well regarded and deeply respected throughout the Pittsburgh community. She gave her time, her talent, and her resources freely, and she led with a rare grace.

Serving as Co-Chair, because of her work, the NAACP Dinner became more than an event. It was a gathering that honored our history, lifted up our community, and strengthened our mission.

Her generosity was matched only by her kindness. She made people feel welcome and valued, and she never sought the spotlight for herself. Her fingerprints are on so much of what this Branch has accomplished.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, and all who loved her. Nancy's legacy will live on in the lives she touched and in the work we carry forward.
