Thank you Mayor O'Connor for hearing us.
Thank you to Mayor O'Connor for making this an extra special Labor Day weekend, and to all of the Prospect Drive neighbors who have spoken out so passionately to protect Schenley Park and Pittsburgh's precious green spaces.
The mayor's Office of Community Affairs sent this email announcement today stating that a public works maintenance facility will not be relocated to Prospect Drive in Schenley Park:

Mayor O'Connor's Prospect Drive Update
Dear Resident,
As promised, Mayor O’Connor wanted to update you on the status of Prospect Drive as a prospective site for the relocation of the Schenley Park Maintenance Division.
As you know, the Administration is looking at multiple sites to relocate the Division that maintains, services and conserves Schenley Park. Following our evaluation, Mayor O’Connor and his staff have determined that Prospect Drive does not meet the needs for the relocation and therefore is not suitable.
The O’Connor Administration is committed to investment in our regional parks, and a relocation site must enable the Parks Maintenance Division to efficiently, effectively and accessibly maintain Schenley Park. We are continuing to evaluate other site options. When a site is identified, the O’Connor Administration will engage in a community process and create an EngagePGH website for updates and feedback.
Best,
