Congratulations to the outstanding Pittsburgh Public Schools Class of 2026 graduates who were recognized by the Pittsburgh Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. as recipients of scholarship awards supporting their educational journeys.

A powerful message for our graduates! 🎓✨

Pittsburgh Miller PreK-5, An African-Centered Academy was honored to welcome Dr. Umar Johnson as the keynote speaker for the 5th grade graduation, where he encouraged students to walk boldly into their future with confidence, purpose, and pride.

During his remarks, Dr. Johnson reminded graduates of the importance of education, identity, discipline, and community. He also encouraged families and parents to continue investing time, love, and guidance into their children as they take their next steps.

🎓 Commencement Week is here, and we’re celebrating the bright futures of the Class of 2026!

Earlier this year, nearly 1,000 Pittsburgh Public Schools seniors came together for Senior Celebration Day hosted by The Pittsburgh Promise, proudly announcing their post-graduation plans and commitments to more than 150 colleges, universities, trade programs, and other post-secondary pathways.

As we kick off Commencement Week, we celebrate the hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments of the Pittsburgh Public Schools Class of 2026. The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.
