CLIENT CORNER! During meetings with Jake* and his great-grandmother, Jake’s primary caregiver, the Family-Based Mental Health team at Familylinks observed significant conflict. Jake also refused to attend school. Unfortunately, Jake’s great-grandmother passed away, and other family members could only care for him on a short-term basis. The Family-Based Mental Health team contacted CYF, and CYF identified an appropriate foster placement. Jake transitioned successfully into the foster home, and the team requested a meeting with staff at his new school to develop a plan to get him back into school. The team also connected Jake with a Supports Coordinator to assist with long-term needs. When the Familylinks team closed, Jake was thriving, attending school, participating in treatment, and developing a positive relationship with his foster family. * Names and images do not represent actual clients of Familylinks.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT! Maureen Archer is the Clinical Director of our Applied Behavior Analysis Clinic. Maureen has been with Familylinks for two years, providing clinical leadership and staff support while helping ensure every client receives high-quality, individualized care. Maureen also oversees clinical programming, collaborates with families and other professionals, and helps the team continue to grow and improve. Maureen loves seeing clients make progress and master skills they once needed help with. She also enjoys working with a team that genuinely cares about making a difference for the clients and families. In her free time, Maureen travels, reads, plays golf, practices guitar, and spends time with family.

CLIENT CORNER! Megan* and her Supports Coordinator have been working together for over three months. During their interactions, Megan always shared her latest artwork with her Supports Coordinator, and they talked about what inspired her to create her pieces. During a recent visit, Megan excitedly shared the news that, in addition to already being featured in a museum in Europe, she has been contacted to curate a piece especially for the Special Olympics. STAFF SPOTLIGHT! ChelseySue Wheeler is a Program Manager within the Supports Coordination Unit and has been with Familylinks for eight years. As a Program Manager, ChelseySue oversees staff, clients, and program operations. ChelseySue also supports the development, interpretation, and implementation of policies, strategies, and outcomes. ChelseySue says she finds fulfillment in ensuring individuals receive the support, resources, and services they need to achieve their goals. In her free time, ChelseySue coaches a local high school cheer team, works out, shops, and spends time with her family and friends.
