🐾 GET WELL SOON, K9 MITCH! 💙

Today, K9 Mitch successfully underwent surgery to remove a cancerous mass. We’re happy to report that his surgery went well, and now it’s time for this tough guy to focus on resting and recovering.

Mitch has given so much to his fellow officers and our community, and now it’s our turn to cheer him on as he begins his road to recovery.

Join us in wishing K9 Mitch a speedy and full recovery! We can’t wait to see you back on your feet, buddy!

Saturday morning, Officer Bartolicious had a great time at Macy’s at Ross Park Mall for a special back to school Shop with a Cop event with Allegheny County Camp Cadet. We’re proud to support programs like Allegheny Camp Cadet that help build lasting relationships between young people and law enforcement.

After spending the week serving as counselors at the Allegheny County Camp Cadet program, Sgt. Ciocco and Officer Hudek took some time to share their experience.

Today, Officer Ferezan participated in Veterans Leadership Program military food distribution event in Braddock.

We’re proud to support programs that give back to the veterans who have given so much to our country. Thank you to everyone involved for helping provide valuable resources and support to local veterans and their families.

Today was a great day getting out of the office and spending time with the communities we’re proud to serve!

Officer Case spent the afternoon at the 15th Annual Braddock Community Day, meeting residents, enjoying the festivities, and helping make it a great day for everyone. Officer Krol joined the Blaine Hill VFC Community Day Parade and came home with some hardware. Our police vehicle was awarded Best Police Vehicle!

We’re proud to be part of these communities and always enjoy the opportunity to interact with the people we serve outside of our everyday duties.

This morning, Officer Brunelle joined the fun at a Touch-A-Truck event in Robinson Township, giving kids the chance to get up close and personal with some of the vehicles and equipment that help keep our communities safe!

Officer Brunelle spent the morning meeting families, answering questions, and, most importantly, putting smiles on a lot of kids’ faces!

This week, Sergeant Ciocco and Officer Hudek are volunteering their time as counselors at the 2026 Allegheny County Camp Cadet program. Lt. Mauro also attended to provide a presentation on our department.

Camp Cadet provides young people with a unique opportunity to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain firsthand insight into the law enforcement profession in a positive and supportive environment.

We hope all of the campers have a fun, safe, and memorable experience!

Members of the Port Authority Police Department, along with their families, had a great time participating in the Kourtney Gavatorta Softball Tournament this past weekend. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, enjoy some friendly competition, and support an important cause within our community.

Our team isn’t done yet! They are proud to continue representing our department in two upcoming softball tournaments on August 1–2 and September 5–6. We wish all of our players the best of luck and thank them for proudly representing our department both on and off duty.
