Disability Pride Month is a celebration of disability identity, community and solidarity. It also marks the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which ensured disability rights are included in civil rights law.

We recognize that accessibility and inclusion are vital parts of a thriving community and renew our ongoing effort to uplift individuals with disabilities in Allegheny County and beyond.

For the last month our office has had the privilege of hosting Ruslan Reșetnic, the Vice Mayor of Edinet, Moldova, thanks to a Professional Fellows partnership with the Department of State.

We are grateful for Ruslan's contributions to our office as well as his kindness and willingness to learn. This past month reminds us how great government can work when we work together not only in our office but across country lines.
