Parking and Traffic Advisement from 7/31-8/2 due to the Annual Balloon Rally

There will be no parking allowed on the either sides of the following streets from 7/30-8/2:

*Smith Street
*Bridge Street
*Fayette Street
*Chestnut Street (Smith to Green)
*Green Street
*Barnstead Road (Bell Bros to High Street)
*High Street (Barnstead Road to Storage)
*Cemetery

This will allow for emergency vehicles to travel safely through town during congested times.

One Way Traffic
Smith, Bridge, and part of Chestnut Street will be One Way.

Traffic Flow - Bridge Street from Smith Street to Chestnut Street back to Bridge will be a one way.

Parking will be a available at:

*Joy Church - 55 Barnstead Road
$10 - no shuttle - Benefits 4H Club

*Globe/MSA - 37 Loudon Road
$10 - includes a shuttle ride to Drake Field

*Broadway - $10 - no shuttle

*Handicap Parking is located at Globe/MSA

My name is Jake The Education Guy! I know it’s pretty funny right.

This summer, I’m running my own business in town providing educational resources for students. I am a college student from Florida and I stay with a host family in the area!

I’ve checked in with the Police to make sure I’m clear to knock on doors!

Since I am from Florida you will see my Grey Toyota Tacoma around town with FL plates.

The educational resources are for high schoolers down to toddlers so if you are a parent in the area there is a good chance I’ll catch you in the neighborhood!

Pittsfield Police Department Release

The Pittsfield Police Department is aware of the recent vandalisms that have occurred in town, and are investigating the incidents.

We are asking for residents who live on Shingle Mill, Tilton Hill, Depot, Elm, Main , Water, Lyford Hill, Leavitt and Loudon roads to check their security cameras between the hours of 1 AM and 2 AM on March 28th for a dark colored extended cab pick up.

Anyone who has a camera that captured a vehicle matching this description is asked to contact Sgt Swift at the Pittsfield Police Department.

We are pleased to announce that Officer Michael Volpe was officially sworn into the Pittsfield Police Department by Erica Anthony.

Officer Volpe holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and brings eight years of law enforcement experience, having previously served with the Dover Police Department, Middleton Police Department, and New Durham Police Department.

We are excited to welcome Officer Volpe to the Pittsfield Police Department and look forward to the contributions he will make to our community.
