Due to the storm cell that just passed through Pittsfield, we are actively responding to calls. We kindly ask that people refrain from driving to help assist the police, EMS and fire departments in their responses to emergencies. We are doing our best to get to everyone as quickly and efficiently as we can. Thank you!

The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag condition for our area due to current conditions being very dry and dangerous for open burning. The forecast for continued high winds as the day progresses will only make burning more hazardous. Please refrain from any type of open burning.

From the Pittsfield Fire Department … thank you to PIKE COUNTY EMS ,SPRING CREEK FIRE DEPT, EAST PIKE, FIRE DEPT NORTH PIKE FIRE DEPT, GRIGGSVILLE FIRE DEPT, PLEASANT HILL FIRE, PITTSFIELD POLICE, AND MOUNT STERLING FIRE DEPT for helping with this mornings fire !!! Also a very special thanks to our wives auxiliary for bringing coffee and hot chocolate and gloves and breakfast and all the stuff you guys do for us …..that is amazing …….and last, but certainly not least thank you to this wonderful community that we live in right here in PITTSFIELD the amount of people that drove by and asked if we needed anything or could do anything to help or even donated food for later we were absolutely blown away and could not be more thankful for It!!!! you guys are the reason it is such a privilege to serve this community. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.-PFD
