As some of you may know, KVCAP and many amazing community partners organize a yearly community baby shower. The baby shower is a way for the community to welcome new and expecting families by providing concrete supports, information about parenting and child development, food and so much fun. When parents attend the shower, they receive a welcome baby bag that is full of necessary and fun items including baby wash, diaper cream, diapers, washcloths, books, wipes, sneakers, and so much more! In years past, we have been very lucky to receive handmade items to put in the welcome baby bag including hats, burb cloths, wash cloths, crocheted animals, blankets and more. Handmade items are so special and new parents are so thankful! I am reaching out to see if you or anyone you know has a special talent that could be used to create any of these items that we could share with families. We are putting together 150 welcome baby bags, so any amount that you are able to make, would be amazing. Please let me know if this is something that you are able and/or interested in doing. I am attaching some pictures of items that we have received in the past.
If you are interested in participating, you can reach out to the Community Coordinator
