Orange cone season wasn't just limited to roads and highways of Pittsfield this year. A quick shoutout to our partners at MassDOT, Stantec, indus, and Hi-Lite Airfield Services, LLC for the recent pavement work completed at PSF.
Over the course of six weeks in May and June this team completed many sections of cut and patch, miles of crack sealing, more than 14 acres of fog seal, and cleaning and repainting of all of the extensive pavement markings all while working around weather and flights. Accomplishing the work while minimizing impact on flights takes a hands-on coordinated effort from all involved. Routine maintenance like this ensures the longevity of the federal, state, and local investments in our community asset and the reliability of our airport.

Making good use of this incredible weather to get some pavement maintenance, crack sealing, seal coating, and painting done thanks to the help of MassDOT Aeronautics.
Work will continue over the next few weeks and shift to different parts of the aprons, taxiways, and runways.
