Summer is getting into full swing this June and we hope to see you at Parvin this summer.
Check out our full slate of programming available for FREE this month. Clear your schedules for these events where you can learn about the plants, animals, and history of our park. Enjoy the early summer weather with our naturalists and historian at any of our programs!

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

As you spend time outdoors with family and friends this holiday weekend, we hope you take a moment to reflect on the meaning of the day.

As we head into the summer season, we wanted to share a few important updates for visitors planning a trip to Parvin State Park:

🌳 PARVIN GROVE DAY USE AREA
• Entrance will be FREE for the entire 2026 season.

🚤 BOAT RAMP FEES
Boat ramp fees are officially in effect as of this weekend:
• $12 Daily — New Jersey Residents
• $20 Daily — Out-of-State Visitors

🎟️ 5 AREA BOAT LAUNCH ANNUAL PERMITS
Annual permits are now available and valid at:
• Parvin State Park
• Corson's Inlet
• D&R Canal State Park / Bulls Island Recreation Area
• Lake Hopatcong State Park
• Crowley's Landing (Wharton State Forest)

Annual Permit Pricing:
• $60 — New Jersey Residents
• $80 — Out-of-State Visitors

🏡 CABIN RENTALS
Please note that cabin reservations are currently operating under a 7-night minimum stay requirement.

🦉 NATURE CENTER
The Nature Center is OPEN!
• Saturdays & Sundays
• 12:00 PM — 4:00 PM

Launching a kayak or canoe at Parvin Lake in Parvin State Park is now easier than ever with the installation of a new EZ Launch and floating dock at Fisherman's Landing located off Parvin Mill Road. Built with stability in mind, the launch makes getting on and off the water smoother and easier than ever, just pull yourself onto the dock or push off from the side entry. The launch includes built-in paddle notches for extra convenience and stabilization during launching and docking.

Funding for the launch and floating dock was provided by the constitutionally dedicated Corporate Business Tax revenue in accordance with the Preserve New Jersey Act.

On this day in 1938, George Riendeau was discharged from the Civilian Conservation Corps. George spent over 3 years in the CCC at Parvin State Park as a laborer, transferring in October of 1937 with many other young men to their new camp in Fallon, Nevada.

Like so many others he joined at age 18 likely to seek the opportunities that the CCC offered young men during one of the worst economic crises in modern history.

Something new is coming to Fisherman’s Landing! 🎣✨

We’re excited to share that our maintenance team is currently hard at work installing a brand new fishing dock at Fisherman’s Landing.

While work is underway over the next few days, we kindly ask visitors to use an alternate launch location:
• Thundergust Lake (on Parvin Mill Rd)
• Second Landing (on Almond Rd)
• Hepner’s Field (on Almond Rd)

We appreciate your patience as we complete these improvements and look forward to welcoming you back to the new dock soon!

New Jersey State Parks is urging trail users to use caution when hiking, walking, running or biking on trails throughout state parks and forests following the recent winter storm.

While maintenance crews are working to improve trail conditions, downed trees and other hazards remain on many trails.

Trail hazards may be reported to the park or forest office.

Snow and debris removal has been completed, and all parking lots are open and accessible!

*🚨 Park Update – Post-Blizzard Conditions 🚨*

Parvin State Park received heavy snowfall during the recent storm, along with downed trees and limbs throughout the park. Our maintenance crews are actively working to clear debris and ensure all areas are safe for visitors.

At this time, the following parking lots are open:
🅿️ Office Parking Lot – OPEN
🅿️ Fisherman’s Landing – OPEN

All other parking areas remain CLOSED while cleanup efforts continue.

We are also not accepting new reservations at this time as our team works to restore and prepare the park for safe use.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and cooperation. We’re grateful for your support and happy to welcome you back to the trails that are accessible.
