EMPLOYMENT - The Pittston Township Ambulance Association is growing - and HIRING! In 2027 we are adding a third ambulance to our fleet. And looking to hire TWO qualified FULL TIME EMT/EMS providers to start NOW, but no later than September 1, 2026.
Are you looking to change EMS employers? Maybe do some part time hours for extra $$? Considering a career path change or graduating an EMT course and seeking a professional place to practice your skills? Our EMS Agency desires to speak with you!
The Pittston Township Ambulance is a community-based EMS that only does 911 dispatched response calls. No scheduled inter-facility transports. EMTs will practice their skills with our group of EMS providers that have many years of experience in the EMS profession.
We offer a starting competitive wage for both full-time and part-time providers along with a 401K plan based on eligibility. And we realize you have other obligations outside of work. Our schedules are posted for a complete month at a time so you can choose shifts desired in consideration of your other personal obligations.
For our full-time providers, we offer:
• Full healthcare (upper level BCBS plan), dental, eye-care coverage at no cost/copay for the employee at the first day of the month after employment.
• 401K Plan, eligible after 90 days of employment.
• Paid time off holidays, 10 days personal time off annually (first year prorated based on hire date)
• Consistent schedules with two weekends off each month.
• Jury duty pay and bereavement pay.
When it comes to equipment and vehicle details, our agency strives to always keep everything functional in both trucks. So whatever truck you are assigned to, you can be assured the truck will be properly stocked and in excellent/proper working condition. And in the rare event there is an issue with equipment or vehicle, it is immediately taken out of service, and the next truck or equipment is placed into service. Both our vehicles are kept clean and are identically laid out so whatever truck you are assigned to, the equipment / supplies are in the same locations and properly stocked. Both trucks are on a preventive maintenance program and are serviced quarterly from bumper to bumper.
Our trucks have:
• Power cot/power load systems.
• Power Stair Chairs and non-power stair chairs.
• MDT (mobile data terminals, like police vehicles) for detailed information regarding your response from the 911 center.
An applicant must have EMT, EVO, and all other required credentials/certifications to staff a BLS service; prefer minimum one year field experience doing 911 dispatched emergencies. If you do not have one year’s experience, we will consider an applicant who has a demonstrated fervent desire/ability to provide patient care in 911 emergency dispatched responses.
We hire only skilled and polite providers genuinely interested in doing EMS without any drama. Interesting or interested? We want to hear from you! To apply, please go to our web site www.ptaa-ems.com/jobs to access our online application.
Thank you!
