Northeastern Pennsylvania Alliance (NEPA) held a media event with Milazzo Industries Inc.
Milazzo Industries, Inc. is a long-standing chemical and industrial products manufacturer and distributor headquartered at 1609 River Road, Pittston, PA 18640. Milazzo Industries has been proudly serving the Wyoming Valley and surrounding areas for over 95 years. The company specializes in snow and ice management products and complementary maintenance lines, including the QIK JOE® brand of ice melts, dust-control products, anthracite coal, diatomaceous earth, absorbents and sweeping compounds, pool salt and water-care inputs, and seasonal charcoal/BBQ products. These products are sold through a diverse mix of commercial, municipal, retail, and consumer markets, with distribution throughout the Northeast and expanding nationally. The company also offers private-label and co-packing services for larger national brands, particularly in the ice melt, pool care, and fertilizer segments.
Today, Milazzo Industries is operated by Nadine and John Wesolowski, who manage the operations of the facility. Together with The Dime Bank, NEPA Alliance BFC was able to provide financing for the refinance of their existing commercial mortgage, along with term working capital to stabilize operations at the facility. This refinance lowered the monthly payment obligations for the business and provided operations with a below-market fixed rate for long-term stability.
