It is with incredible sadness that the Harding Fire company must announce the sudden and untimely passing of Assistant Chief, Donald “Donny” Kreseski. Donald joined our department in 2007. After many years of serving the community, dedication, and countless hours of training, Donald climbed the ranks to his most recent roll as Assistant Chief in 2010. When not volunteering his time, Donald would also serve the county as a full time Deputy Sheriff in the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Department.

He was a man of selflessness, always willing to help and never hesitated to get his hands dirty.

Our hearts are absolutely shattered by this sudden loss of our friend and brother. We have seen the posts and kind words others have shared, and we truly wish he understood just how much he had meant to us, our organization, and others throughout the communities in which he served.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with Donald’s family, friends, and colleagues during this tragic time.

This one hurts deeply.
Rest easy our brother.

We are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing of one of our own, firefighter Dustin Eyerman. Dustin was a dedicated father, friend, and first responder, who served his community daily. Dustin has given timeless hours to the Harding Fire Company and the community of Exeter Township for nearly a decade. Dustin also volunteered with the West Pittston Fire Company, and the Germania Water Rescue and SCUBA team, and the Avoca Fire Department. Our thoughts and prayers remain with his family, friends, and colleagues during this tragic time.
