This Memorial Day Weekend, Pittston Township pauses to remember and honor the brave servicemen and servicewomen who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The freedoms we hold dear today were earned through the profound courage and selflessness of those who never returned home. We owe them a debt of gratitude that can never truly be repaid, but we can ensure that their names, their stories, and their sacrifice are never forgotten.

May we live our lives in a way that honors the legacy of our fallen heroes. Have a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

We are thrilled to announce that Pittston Township has been awarded nearly $500,000 in Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Local Share Account (LSA) Luzerne County Grants!

This major funding will go directly vital township projects and essential equipment upgrades that will keep our community safe, efficient, and thriving.

Investments like this don't just happen—they take dedicated leadership and strong advocacy. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Senator Marty Flynn, Rep. Jim Haddock, and their incredible staffs.

Thank you for your tireless hard work in securing this funding for Pittston Township and for your continued, unwavering support of our community. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership in making Pittston Township an even better place to live and work!

More than $7.4 million in Local Share Account (LSA) funding has been awarded to 55 projects throughout Lackawanna and Luzerne counties.

This funding will support improvements that people will see and feel in their everyday lives. A lot of these projects started with conversations about what communities needed most and where local governments and organizations needed support to keep moving forward.

These investments will support projects tied to public safety, infrastructure, parks, community organizations, youth programs, and local facilities across our region.

I’m grateful to work alongside Representatives Rep. Bridget M Kosierowski, Rep. Kyle Mullins, Rep. Kyle Donahue, Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, and Rep. Jim Haddock to help bring this funding back home to the communities we represent.
