On Tuesday afternoon, QFC was alerted automatic aid to Raritan Twp Fire Company for the house fire on Cherryville Stanton Road. Engine 91 responded on dispatch and started fire suppression upon arrival with the assistance of Hunterdon County OEM leadership already onscene. The fire was quickly contained with no extension, searches were quickly found to be negative and ventilation was prompt thanks to the teamwork among all the companies onscene.

Tenders 91-1 and Tender 91-2 provided water supply while Utility 91 provided additional manpower.

All QFC were available in about an hour with another hour of repack and clean-up back at the station.

Thanks to Rescue-Engine 92 (Milford) for covering our station while our companies operated. 17 QFC members staffed rigs or the station for the call.

As winter weather is only a couple of months away, Utility 91 was upgraded recently adding plow capabilities. This will be helpful during inclement weather to assist when our local crews may be unavailable or not in close proximity to emergency call.

This upgrade was possible thanks to the grant that was distributed from the Hunterdon County Board of Commissioners and awarded to the Franklin Twp Fire District No.1.

QFC thanks Hunterdon County for this grant to help upgrade the operations of the fire company.
