High temperatures are expected throughout the week. Please take extra precautions to protect yourself, your family, and your pets during the heat.

Stay safe by:
• Drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
• Limiting outdoor activities during the hottest hours (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
• Seeking shade or staying in air-conditioned spaces when possible.
• Never leaving children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
• Checking in on elderly neighbors, friends, and family members.

Whether you're working outdoors, exercising, or attending community activities, remember to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks.

What an incredible evening at Concerts in the Park!

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for a fantastic performance by Elton Jones + The Jets. It was great seeing our community come together for an evening of live music, dancing, and summer fun.

The City of Placentia is proud to honor its Active Duty service members, Honorably Discharged service members, including honoring service members posthumously, through the Military Banner Recognition Program. 

Military banners will be displayed along Kraemer Boulevard and Yorba Linda Boulevard for a two-year period in recognition of their service and sacrifice.

Honorees must have a connection to Placentia by meeting at least one of the following:

• Currently reside in Placentia.
• Have been employed in Placentia for at least one year.
• Enlisted while living in Placentia.
• Have an immediate family member (parent, spouse, child, or grandparent) who currently resides in Placentia.

Applications may be submitted by the honoree or by an immediate family member, friend, or representative on the honoree’s behalf.

A valid DD-214, Statement of Service, or other proof of military service is required.

Application Deadline: October 21

The cost for each personalized banner is $260, and each service member is eligible for one banner. At the conclusion of the two-year display period, the banner will be presented to the applicant.

Today, the Placentia Library is a modern community hub offering creative spaces like The Hangar Makerspace, the Memory Lab, technology resources, outdoor learning, community programs, passport services, and the Library of Things, giving residents new ways to learn, create, and connect.
