As part of our Plant a Seed, Read summer reading program, we’re hosting a special Plant Swap! Teens and adults are invited to bring healthy houseplants, garden plants, herbs, cuttings, or seeds to share with others. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this is a relaxed, hands-on way to discover new varieties, share tips, and learn from fellow plant enthusiasts.

Join us in the Outdoor Learning Experience on July 21st from 6:00 to 7:00 PM to swap some plants!

The Summer Reading Program is here! Let's take a look at one of our SRP's of the past!

The 1966 Summer Reading Program was themed Along Nature's Trails and featured games and activities that went with a nature theme. In one of these pictures you'll see participants "fishing" for prizes and in another you'll see all of the SRP winners in one picture!

Remember to sign up for our current Summer Reading Program and have just as much fun as they did in 1966!

Save the Date! To Backpacks and Beyond: Launching Students Toward Success. Saturday, July 11, 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Placentia Civic Center Plaza.

Blast off into the new school year at our fun-filled Build Your Own Backpack event, held in partnership with Karina’s Backpack Project! Children and teens ages 4–18 can fill their own backpacks with school supplies to help them start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to succeed. The fun doesn’t stop there! Enjoy music, food, face painting, wellness classes, STEAM activities and crafts for all ages. This exciting community celebration is designed to inspire learning, movement, creativity, and connection before the school year begins. Come celebrate the new school year with us and launch into success together!

✏️ Notes: No registration needed. Children must be present to receive backpacks. Supplies are limited and will be distributed while supplies last. Limit one backpack per child.

Do you have a tough pattern you can't quite get right? Fiber art questions you need answered? Or do you just want to hang out with people who love fiber arts as much as you do?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, please join us for Get Hooked in the library Meeting Room from 2-3:30 on Saturday, April 25th! We meet every month to chat, relax, and work on fiber arts projects such as crochet, knitting, cross stitch, and so much more!
