Be informed!

Here's some great information about Xylazine. So far, it appears that it's not currently prevalent in Northern California, but its use is increasing.

It’s very interesting - a FB member just claimed harassment on two weekly posts about a recovery-based Zoom call. How in the world could these meetings or posts ever to be considered harassment? We’d really like to know.

An online conversation about liberatory harm reduction with Shira Hassan and other organizers about her new book, Saving Our Own Lives: A Liberatory Practice of Harm Reduction.

Shira Hassan tells the stories of how s*x workers, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, q***r folks, trans, gender non-conforming, and two-spirit people are – and have been - building systems of change and support outside the societal frameworks of oppression and exploitation.

At a political moment when Liberatory Harm Reduction and mutual aid are more important than ever, this book serves as an inspiration and a catalyst for radical transformation of our world.

Herbal Harm Reduction: An Herbalist’s Approach to Addiction

This is a two part workshop series that dives deep into the practical applications of herbal harm reduction.

Part One: Sunday September 18th 6-7:30pm EST on Zoom

The first class explores the foundational pieces to supporting people who use drugs (PWUD) no matter where they are in their recovery or substance use journey. This is a class not only for practitioners, but for folks who are wanting to support themselves or their loved ones through addiction. Specifically, we will focus primarily on op**te and alcohol use and explore ways to call on plant protocols to support the physical body.

Part Two: Sunday September 25th 6-7:30 EST on Zoom

The second class focuses on tending to grief and trauma. Together we will explore why this is so important when working with addiction and discuss practical ways to help the body process and move through these emotions. Specifically, we will learn where grief is typically stored in the body, how to connect to the many plants and flower essences that can tend to these spaces, and which plants and flower essences to call on to help heal trauma and the many energetics of addiction.

This series is so important to me. My own substance use, as well as the substance use of my friends and family, and the many dear ones I’ve lost to drugs and alcohol, were a huge catalyst to me studying herbs and walking this plant path. I’ve spent the last several years gathering data and resources for folks who are looking to manage their drug and alcohol use and it is an honor to share this information with my larger community.

I’d highly recommend this series to wellness practitioners of all kinds and to individuals who are looking to learn more about addiction and what compassionate, herbal harm reduction looks like.

Each participant will receive a PDF copy of the presentations as well as a recording of the live classes in case you can’t physically be there. Although I encourage participants to sign up for both classes, it is totally ok to just sign up for one or the other.

Once you purchase the class, I will send a zoom link.

I so look forward to sharing these resources with you!

Warmly,

Nora
