💧🚰 Your water has a report card… and yes, you can actually read it. 👀

The District’s 2025 Water Quality Report is now available online and breaks down where your drinking water comes from, how it’s tested, and what goes into delivering safe and reliable water to your tap every day.

From your morning coffee ☕ to filling up your emotional support water bottle everywhere you go 🥤, clean water is part of everyday life.

Please attend this valuable workshop. We want a stable water delivery system. Your educated comments are valuable in the Board's decision process.

📌Join us for a public Board workshop to learn how p***c water utilities use cost-of-service and rate design studies to develop rates that are fair and equitable for customers, including cost-of-service principles, rate development, and Proposition 218. 💧

A four day weekend and grease clogs. Be prepared.

A four day weekend and grease clogs. Be prepared.

Here’s a quick reminder before holiday cooking kicks in! Don’t let holiday cooking turn into a plumbing disaster! 😱

🍗🍳 Fats, Oils & Grease (F.O.G.) can harden in your pipes and create stubborn clogs.

Do your drain a favor:
🧊 Let grease cool, then throw it in the trash
🥫 Collect leftover cooking oil in a container before disposing
🚫 Never pour F.O.G. down the drain

Keep the holidays bright and your pipes running smoothly! 🔧

As the Board asked, we requested more transparency and that we report to the public our response to the grand jury report. This was reported at our meeting, and now we are taking our responsibility as representatives to our rate payers. Please check in to our meetings. They are available virtually.

Free firewood here in El Dorado County...

🌲Interested in firewood?
As part of our commitment to protecting watershed lands, reducing wildfire fuels, and supporting public safety, the District offers a Firewood Program for local residents.

Permits are available for county residents who would like to cut and collect their own firewood. The wood is located in easily accessible areas of District-owned land and typically consists of softwood (mostly pine). No oak is available at this time. Trees are already down, limbed, and in lengths of approximately 10–20 feet. You’ll just need to bring your own chainsaw and a vehicle to load and transport your wood.

Fees are normally $30 per cord for softwood, but for a limited time, the District is offering wood within the easily accessible Scout Hill area of Sly Park Recreation Area for only $5 per cord. You can back your vehicle right up to the pile and help us clear out a large number of dead and hazardous trees that were recently removed from active areas of Sly Park Recreation Area, supporting long-term forest resilience.

If you’re interested in purchasing a permit or learning more, feel free to contact us at [email protected].

Let’s keep our forests healthy and our community safe. 🌲🔥

💧 What Would a Day Without Water Look Like? 💧

A day without water is not just what is missing from your glass, it is everything water touches.

☕ Your morning coffee from the neighborhood café
🚿 A shower to start your day
🍝 Dinner shared with friends

Water powers our lives in countless ways. Let’s not take it for granted.

On October 16, reminds us how water shows up for all of us, everywhere, every day.
