Cris improving but we have a long road ahead of us. These months since the last surgery has been healing time . The treatment is not finished. We are on a break, a long break. He is still on heavy meds and will be for a long time.
He is strong.
He is not bigger than this at this point in time. I know that he can and will be. Not for now. He needs a lot of rest. PT is up ahead for him plus other docs for different issue that arise when half your brain is removed.
We still need your help. I cannot work outside of the house. He cannot work at all.
Our Go Fund Me is still open and active. Please donate anything you can spare. It pays my rent and buys us food. I can handle Att and PGE. It pays for gas to go to various, doctors , labs ,pharmacies and Physical Therapy.

The truth is that something crops up every month.
Brain health is vital.

i know that life isn't easy for anyone. I am not asking for an easy life . I am asking for a push from behind.

As I look at my house, yard and plants, I see neglect.
Slowly I am getting stronger. I must. Cris needs me and I cannot help him if I am unwell.
So, I come to you and ask for support. You cannot make me well.
But with your help I am not worried about the basics.

Every Contribution Makes a Difference!

Dear Friends and Game buddies,

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to share something important to me and ask for your support.

My Husband ,Cris is facing life changing events . He has medically intractable epilepsy. He has had three surgical interventions. He is taking some of the strongest meds to try and squelch any new seizures. No cure , there is no cure. But he may yet get some of his life back. If this doesn't work there is just one more option left.
He can loose no more brain matter so deep brain stimulation via stimulator that reads when seizures are starting and stops it with an electric shock and then we pray. I cannot work myself and I must stay by him as seizures occur mostly at night when he is sleeping but they can and do occur during the day. To say that money is tight is an understatement.

To overcome this challenge, we’ve launched a GoFundMe campaignhttps://gofund.me/176862a1. Every donation, no matter the size, will directly impact Our living situation. I cannot move our home right now. I must pay for electricity, gas ,rent. TP I have EBT for food , but the other cash exspensives are out of reach.
Stupid stuff like parking fees at Sutter are incediable and forget parking on the street. All streets have meters now. I have to go to Stockton for a Social Security exam for disability. So many things

This may be a bit graphic, I apologize in advance. These are photos of Cris's head.
They took about 90 percent of the epileptic brain matter and removed it,leaving enough to allow for Cris to function well. There is still epileptogentic tissue in what is left of his right temporal lobe. He will stay on his meds at full strength for the foreseeable future.
I will need to stay with him always. He could seize and his Dr. fully anticipates more seizures
The need has grown as I thought it might.
Please, anything you can spare is welcome and needed. I have so many more med appointments now all follow up and therapies.
Speech, occupational and physical therapies will be needed to heal him.
This war isn't over yet, but this battle is done.
You all made it happen ,you are wonderful.
Our monthly expenses are still there and now more are being added.
Now it's heal up and then see how to progress. Blessings to us all.

Ran the numbers and Transportation is large in our lives . I often cannot use the car due to gas prices and the hardiness of my car.
Its about $10.00 for every back and forth to docs and pharm.
No stops no diversions.
It is so expensive to travel by car. So once again I am here ,hat in hand asking for your help.
The days are exhausting. You folks are keeping me sane and safe. I am asking for before surgery and after.
We do not know how this will effect Cris . Half of his brain will be gone he may lose face recognition . In short, he will require a lot of physical therapy and mental therapy. He will have to relearn things. It is devastating . I have real fear that I cannot display .
You are saving me. Thank you.
