All aboard for the Great Train Robbery Whodunit! With Bronco Charlie as your storyteller, enjoy a fun and puzzling mystery ride on the El Dorado Western Railway, September 5th and 12th. Think you can crack the case? 🔎🚂

Tickets go on sale at 8:30 AM:
$12 for adults & children 9 & up
$3 for children 4 to 8
Free for children 3 & under

A processing fee is added to each ticket.

Call (530) 663-3581 for questions and to confirm departure times. The telephone is only monitored on scheduled train ride days from 9 am to 1 pm. Please remember that there are a limited number of seats available for each train; so, make your reservation early. A limited number of walk-on tickets will be available from the station agent. Riders 17 years old and younger must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No animals are allowed on board. The round trip (50 to 60 minutes) takes you east from the depot on the historic Southern Pacific Placerville Branch rail line. The train stops short of Missouri Flat Road, before returning to the depot.

Read books and play ball! Join our Summer Reading Challenge and log your reading at eldoradolibrary.beanstack.org for a chance to win San Francisco Giants tickets. Kids ages 0 - 18 years old are eligible to win. Log at least five books or 2 ½ hours of reading before June 30th. Any reading since June 1st counts. If you've logged your reading, you've entered the drawing! Winners will be drawn on June 30th and notified via email. All reading counts - books, audiobooks, graphic novels - just read!
