El Dorado Transit Rolls Out New EDT GO! Microtransit Service

Starting July 6, 2026, El Dorado Transit will have a new Microtransit service called EDT GO! to serve the El Dorado County public. Microtransit allows transit agencies to offer riders an on-demand flexible option that fits between fixed route and dial-a-ride services.

Initial EDT GO! service will be weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. During this initial phase, service will be available in two zones: El Dorado Hills and Cameron Park/Shingle Springs, with two vehicles assigned to each zone. The fare will be $3.00 per trip, and the service will provide curb-to-curb transportation. Riders will be able to schedule on-demand trips using the mobile app Rides on Demand, available on iPhone and Android platforms, or by calling the El Dorado Transit office.

El Dorado Transit will utilize new Ford Transit 350 vans with seven passenger seating, and other vehicles depending on demand, for EDT GO! and all are handicap accessible.

For more information, please call El Dorado Transit at (530) 642-5383 or visit the website at www.eldoradotransit.com.
