🎨 Calling all young artists in Placer County!
What does clean air mean to you? 🌿☀️🌎
The Placer County Air Pollution Control District is inviting K–12 students attending school in Placer County to put their creativity on paper for the 2026 Air Art Calendar Contest.
This year’s theme is “Clean Air for Everyone,” encouraging students to explore the importance of clean air and how we can all help protect air quality.
And there’s more than just bragging rights! Students can win:
🏆 First place: $50
🥈 Second place: $30
🥉 Third place: $20
Winners will be selected for every grade, kindergarten through 12th grade, and selected artwork will be featured in the District’s 2027 Air Art Calendar. Every student who submits eligible artwork with a completed entry form will receive a copy of the calendar.
A few things to know:
🎨 One entry per student
🖌️ Artwork must be original and created by the student
📄 8.5” x 11”, landscape/horizontal format
🌈 Crayons, markers, colored pencils, paint and similar materials are welcome
🚫 No copyrighted characters, logos or 3D materials
💬 Written messaging is optional, and artwork may include English, Spanish or both
📅 Deadline: October 31, 2026
There are also awards for teachers and a special recognition for the school with the most eligible entries.
