Deeply Ingrained's Woodshop on Wheels is coming to the library!
Saturday, Sept. 26, 1:30-3p

Join us to use real tools to create a woodshop project. Students will build their own paracord bracelet jig and then use it to design and create a custom paracord bracelet to take home. For school-aged children. Registration required; use the link below to sign up!

Through woodworking and mentorship, Deeply Ingrained helps youth build relationships, grow in character, and find purpose—cultivating creativity, confidence, and a path toward a brighter future.

Is your child ready to transition into reading chapter books on their own?

If so, our current J Fic (Chapter Books) book display is for you!

It features a wide variety of books, including mysteries, fantasy, and realistic fiction. We have beginning chapter books about friendship, sports, animals, video games, and more all conveniently arranged on top of one of our bookshelves. Most of them are part of a series, too, so if your child reads one and likes it, there are more to enjoy.

Check one out today!

In the Children's Room, we love open-ended activities!

They allow children to express creativity, solve problems, and think deeply about the materials in front of them.

These two pictures highlight different ways that children engaged with a recent Imagination Hub activity.

In the top picture, the child engineered a complex system of ramps to get the dinosaurs from one end of the tray to the other without touching the lava.

In the bottom picture, the child demonstrated precision in how they carefully lined up all of the dinosaurs in the lava, with a clear leader of each row.

We are confident that each child was practicing important skills, and we love seeing the results of their work!

Support this type of play at home by providing your child with age-appropriate open-ended materials and toys like blocks, blankets, and even safe household items such as cups and paper towel tubes.
