I hope all is peaceful this beautiful Sunday. Below are a few 2nd ward updates.

SPEED BUMPS:
To date we have two (2) streets in the 2nd ward scheduled to receive speed humps:

--Leland Ave. from Radcliff Pl. to Dorsey Pl. (3) humps and

--Carlton Ave from Watchung Ave to E7th street (5) humps this summer.

PAVING:
For now we have Fernwood Lane from Watchung Ave to Sleepy Hollow Lane scheduled to be milled and paved this summer.

NO PARKING
I’m also proud to say that, as a result of our collective advocacy, DPW/PPD is painting more no parking yellow lines at the end of streets corners to allow for a safer ability to enter moving traffic.

It's Friday night in the Queen City.

I would like to thank the Historic Hillside Block Association for inviting me to their social gathering this evening. My experience was a welcoming atmosphere of residents who care about the community and are committed to keeping it a safe and beautiful place to live. After talking to some of the members, I have a few request to follow up with the city next week.

It's Friday night in the Queen City!!

The PRIDE flag raising event is aways epic. There is so much LOVE and RESPECT for our LGBTQI+ community. The take away for me tonight was the reminder that we must be kind. A simple but true message. We dont know who is struggling with coming out, or who's family rejected them when they did. Everyone wants to be loved and accepted, and I'm committed to making sure Plainfield remains welcoming and affirming for all. Happy PRIDE Month!
