Welcome to Tomten Farm and Sanctuary. We are an approved 501(c)(3) providing peace, protection and possibility to animals in need. Helping animals, helping humans and making dreams come true one life at a time through rescue, sanctuary and education.

Founded January 1st, 2014, we are a 100% donor funded organization that focuses on responsible, sustainable practices that allow us to be there for those who need us today while ensuring we will be here for them tomorrow.

Located at the edge of the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, together, we create a lifelong home for those who need us and focus on making each animal's dreams come true for the rest of their days. Our more than 75 Rescues include; horses, goats, cows, sheep, pigs, alpacas, donkeys, cats, chickens, geese, a llama and a mule. Each life has their own story, each saved from what would have been a terrible fate, each an ambassador for others like them as they introduce themselves to you, raise awareness and promote human and animal connection. Need is everywhere and it is our hope that our Rescues educate and inspire all who meet them to be more, do more and give more to make a difference.

An animal welfare organization, we believe in inclusivity and embrace all who love animals and are interested in making the world a better place for them. We are advocates not activists and no matter where you are on your personal journey, we open our arms to you as together we make a difference. Awareness grows, change happens and miracles occur at different times for each of us and it is an honor to share Tomten with you. We hope it touches you deeply and encourages you to consider embracing kindness, making compassionate choices and exploring a plant-based lifestyle. To love animals is to respect their right to live a beautiful life.

Our page is designed to offer you, our valued reader and supporter, detailed insight into the day-to-day operations and observations of this farm and the lives it impacts. We invite your virtual participation on this journey as slowly but surely we grow, one by one we save, and little by little we make a difference. Do you have questions? Please ask. We love courteous questions and comments and hope our open approach allows you to feel part of Tomten Farm and Sanctuary no matter where you are.

Should you wish to support our endeavor, please join us. We could not do what we do without you. In fact, every life we save and support through a lifetime of sanctuary is possible thanks to the kindness of just 2860 donors - the superheroes who have joined us these past 9 years. Will you consider becoming one of the few who give the gift of life? Big or small, every contribution makes a difference that is far greater than the value of a dollar. With only one employee, we are 99% volunteer based and Tomten operates with an unwavering moral and ethical pledge of 100% transparency so you can always make your tax-deductible donation with confidence, knowing that it will be utilized exactly as you intended - to help us, help them.

Tomten is Platinum rated via Guidestar (Candid) and thanks to your reviews, the GreatNonProfits Top-Rated Nonprofit in New Hampshire as well as Top-Rated Animal Nonprofit in New England.

The animals need you and your support. Should you wish to help make the impossible possible simply...
