Our community continues to stand with Connor’s family during this heartbreaking time.

A candlelight vigil will be held tonight, Saturday, February 28, at 5:30 pm at 57 Roosevelt Avenue in Plainfield, not far from where Connor was found. This gathering offers our community a chance to come together in remembrance, prayer, and solidarity.

A Celebration of Life service will also be held on Saturday, March 7 at 12:00 PM at Plainfield High School. These moments of unity matter deeply.

The Plainfield Luminary Program remains committed to our mission to Light and Unite Plainfield — especially in moments of sorrow.

Today we post with a heavy heart.

Our Plainfield community continues to grieve the tragic loss of Connor Oldfield. While nothing can ease the unimaginable pain his family is enduring, we can stand beside them in a meaningful and tangible way.

The Plainfield Luminary Program was founded on a simple but powerful commitment: to Light and Unite Plainfield, not only in moments of celebration, but especially in moments of sorrow. This is one of those moments.

We are asking our community to come together once again to help support Connor’s family with funeral expenses and immediate needs during this devastating time of grief.

It is with profound sadness that we share heartbreaking news about Connor Oldfield.

After weeks of searching and hoping for his safe return, Connor was found deceased. Our hearts are heavy for his family and for all who loved him.

From the moment Connor was reported missing, Plainfield came together in compassion and unity. Within days, our community funded a $1,000 reward. Volunteers showed up. Neighbors shared information. People prayed. The response reflected the very best of who we are.

In light of this tragic outcome, the funds raised for the reward will be given directly to Connor’s family to assist with their immediate needs. While no financial support can ease their loss, we hope it offers practical help and shows how deeply this community cares.

The Plainfield Luminary Program keeps Connor and his family in our thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. We ask that you continue to pray for his loved ones as they navigate this unimaginable grief.

🚨 URGENT: Help Plainfield Bring Conner Home 🚨

Time matters. The Plainfield Luminary Program is working to raise $1,000 within the next 48 hours to fund a community reward for information that directly leads to finding Conner Oldfield, an 18-year-old Plainfield resident with autism who has been missing for two weeks.

The faster we fund this reward, the faster we can expand awareness and encourage actionable information that could help bring Conner home safely.
